Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of psychopathic deviation on the influence of K-CBCL 6-18 dysregulation profile and its subtypes, including anxious/depression, aggressive behavior, and attention problems, on the conduct problems of school bullies. A total of 115 school bullies(81 males, 35 females) from counseling centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheong-do who were participating in the ¡°School Violence Adolescents¡¯ Counseling Project¡± and their parents or residential caregivers were recruited for this study. The K-CBCL 6-18 and MMPI-A were used. The results showed that dysregulation profile and its subtypes significantly predicted conduct problems, as did psychopathic deviation. Additionally, the mediating effects of psychopathic deviation on the influence of dysregulation profile and its subtypes on conduct problems were signigicant. In conclusion, this study suggests that intervening in dysregulation profile and psychopathic deviation is important for preventing and treating conduct problems of school bullies.
